Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) is a German launch services company headquartered in Augsburg, building the RFA ONE orbital rocket around its proprietary Helix staged-combustion engine, produced using automotive-style serial manufacturing to cut launch costs. Its Redshift orbital transfer stage offers last-mile payload delivery from LEO to GTO and beyond. RFA became the first European company to complete a full upper-stage test of a staged-combustion engine in June 2023, and in May 2024 it conducted a hot-fire campaign of four Helix engines for its first stage at SaxaVord Spaceport in the UK.
